Okay team, please check out the pics below and give me a bit of advise on how to repair the damage. These are my14 year old sons ski's Dynastar contact cross.

I am thinking either trim it and sand smooth, or epoxy glue then sand smooth?

TIA

Could epoxy and clamp it back in place if you don't care about how it looks. Use seran-wrap and epoxy won't stick to your clamps. Then sand away any extra.

Devcon 2-ton epoxy is what I use. It's truly clear, impact resistant and lasts.

GEt a Boat Gelcoat repair kit that has color additives with it. You can mix a custom color by mixing the colors in the kit.  this  allows you to color match the top sheet. Last time I did this I used some stiff cardboard as a mold wall as a sort of curb on the side of the ski. I think I taped it on then  smeared  the color matched gelcoat onto the dmaged area up aginst the mold wall. let it dry and the since the color is solid in the repair material I could sand it down to flush it up with the ski and improve the cosmetics.

I still have the skis I did this reapir on and they still look pretty good. The damage was very similar. Although the ski was metallic brown. An Atomic R11 Beta-Puls!

With this method should I trim the loose bits first?
