Vail Bus Route

Thread Starter

I plan to start my weekly visits to the bowls at Vail (finally getting enough snow here) and I have a question about the bus system at Vail. I refuse to pay the $25 parking at the resort!

Someone told me awhile back that I can park on one of the frontage roads and catch the Red Route...but I cannot remember exactly where this is located. I believe it was by the McDonald's and Safeway...but can someone confirm this for me? And where exactly do I park...on the side of the road?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I've always parked on the other side of the highway but I believe if you go past the mcdonalds heading east u can park there as well

Yeah, you can park along the side of the road across from the Safeway off the West Vail exit, but you have to get there early; those spots don't last long. I don't know an exact time, really, but I'd aim to get up there 30 minutes or so before the lifts start turning.

Do a Google search for Vail Free Parking, there are several sites that have maps and parking information.

There are several small lots on the east and west sides that are near a bus stop, and free.
