I just installed a set of bindings on rails on Volkl Attiva Playa skis.
Strangely, the only thing holding these onto the side rails is a small metal pin with a flat head that spins and locks into place into the plastic rail side. Seems very flimsy and I would imagine prone to vibration and falling out.
Also very concerned as there is play. You can move the bindings forward and backwards about 1mm along the rail with them locked into place with the pin.
My daughters skis have a similar binding setup that slides onto a rail, but they lock into place with metal teeth, this seems.....flimsy.
Am I paranoid, is this a safe and effective technology? Is the play 'acceptable'?
THANK YOU for any help anyone can provide.
