New skier here. I recently got hooked up with a pair of older (2008?) Tecnica AT Agent boots. The length is good, but I have a lot of space "vertically", so a lot of foot movement. Even when I hook the lowest buckle as tight as it will go. This isn't good. With a tighter boot I'd obviously get better response. My top two buckles go super tight, so those aren't an issue. It's just the lower one. I feel like if I could get it a few notches tighter, it'd be all good. Problem is, the buckles aren't adjustable at all (as in, I can't move them on the boot). So I think my only option would be to get a shorter cable. But endless internet searches have provided no results. Is this an actual option for me? Or am I destined for eternal foot movement?
Hopefully this makes sense. I've attached an image of the existing cable/clamp. Do they make these things a half-inch shorter?
