im sorry.........  how is alta better than snowbird? Ive skied both many times....... snowbird is awesome! they are situated -juxtaposed, so the snow cant vary to any real degree.  what is the difference? mystique?

Snowbird gets more traffic, same amount of snow, conditions would prob be worse.

snowbird gets more traffic for a simple reason; better terrain.................

Snowbird is moguls and ice right now.  I have no real reason to stray down every moguled out face I see just for the sake of skiing it.  There's now reward in that if I know I can do it.  The real exciting ones I wouldn't consider safe in these conditions, so you're pretty much left with groomers.  And on that note, Snowbird sucks.  Their groomers are all cat tracks.  Seemed no matter how you tried to link top to bottom runs together, there was no way around them.  Suck.

Alta, had much better coverage, with less crap exposed.  And good flow all over the place.

I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow.  Was planning Snowbasin, but I've lost the stoke.

Snowbird also allows snowboarders, that alone will increase traffic significantly.
