Old chairlift revived

Like many others out there I was a ski brat from my primary years through college and beyond. All my children ski and snow board and two of my sons work winters in the rental room of a small ski center where I learned to ski years ago. The ski center shut down one old chair lift a while back, and I was lucky enough to get one of the original chairs which I rode on, countless times as a kid.The chair had not been used for years and was in rough shape. After about 30 hours of striping layers of paint, welding, painting and some carpentry work, the project was complete. It was a fun project and now every time I look out of our kitchen window, I have a part of my past and a constant reminder of happy times on the mountain.holiday mt. 013.jpg

The graphic is a skier with a mountain in the background. My buddy is a welder and he had a computer program to cut the image out of the plate metal. Thanks
