PSIA certification path question

Thread Starter

So I have a rather esoteric question to ask about the Level 2 certification path. According to the Exam Guide, in order to take your Level 2 part 1, you need to be in your second year of membership in PSIA. I was a member and gained level 1 back in 2005, and then allowed my membership to lapse for financial reasons. This season I rejoined and retook my Level 1. Would I be considered in my second year of membership, or do those years need to be continuous? I've been teaching continuously since 2003.

Go to this: http://www.psia-e.org/ed/alpine/AlpineExamGuide.pdf

and look at the early admissions portfolio process, you could try to do it that way. You will need to make a case for yourself but at least you can try. talk it over with your S.S. director

As long as you have taken the prerequisite courses and your SSD signs off you should be able to take  the exam. If you have any questions about it you should call Albany.

One of our instructors who took his LI last year and LII part 1 this year is also looking to take part 2 this season. The information we  got was that as long as he meets the criteria above he should be eligible to take part 2 this season.
