Introducing Pow Tales- A powder skiers best friend.

Hi All,

  • In celebration of starting my new enterprise, Pow Tales, I am offering a 25% discount to all EpicSki members. I am also going to donate an additional $1 back to EpicSki for each set I sell here. To redeem your discount, go to my website and use the contact form at the bottom of the "Buy Now" page. Enter your EpicSki user name along with your name, mailing address and the number of sets you would like. I'll send you back an invoice with the discounted purchase price per set and shipping charges. When you hit the "buy Now" button embedded in the email it will redirect you to Pay Pal to complete your purchase. If you wish expedited shipping you should include that information in your original email to me. IMG_2417.JPG

There are many types of powder cords on the market, but Pow Tales are the newest and most innovative of these products. Pow Tales live on your ski boots, always ready to be clipped into, so there is no way you can forget to bring them. If and when you lose a ski, the last thing that leaves your ski boot is a break-away Velcro strap attached to 6’ of bright orange ribbon, and your ski, of course. In addition, they are very easy to engage and disengage so there is no punishment factor if you’re cat or heli skiing or even just riding a tram or gondola. And the best thing about this simple no-brainer solution is their price. When you figure out what it costs per hour to dig through deep powder looking for a lost ski they are dirt cheap. Check ‘em out at http://powtales.com.

  • Installs on your ski boots in a few minutes.
  • Easy to engage and disengage.
  • Always there when you find that unexpected powder stash.
  • Perfect for riding Gondolas and Trams.
  • Perfect for Heli and Cat skiing.
  • Made in America

Thanks Bob for offering all members this great discount and contributing back to Epicski.  If only we had enough snow to lose a ski in this year, it would be great!   There is nothing quite like that sinking feeling when a ski is gone, and you are probing around for it with no trace.

What I didn't like about powder cords is that they seemed to always be dragging around and even getting stepped on in lift lines.  This seems to clean up the mess until they are needed.

I knew we were having a crappy winter, but no other replies?  Give the guy some love.  This is a great idea! th_dunno-1[1].gif

A lot of us already got powder cords from fly2mike, that's probably why.

I thought by NOT investing in powder cords this year, the snow would be deep and I would regret not making the purchase.  Obviously, that strategy is not working.

This looks like a cool design ... I will likely submit my request for a pair or 2.

Thanks to you all for supporting Pow Tales and Epicski. The orders are beginning to come in fast enough that I'm concerned I won't have enough to last the season. This is not a bad thing. yahoo.gif In fact, it's looking very much like the proverbial win-win.

Thanks again,

Bob

Hi Bob -- Can you please explain how they attach to the ski boot?  I'm thinking these might be a good alternative to the inadequate safety straps on my sled dogs snow skates (which the ski patrol has complained about).

Very cool design. I would buy a couple pair if I lived out west. I will just wait till you come out with the ice tails version.

renenkel,

There is an adhesive backing on the hook side of the Velcro that is specifically designed for plastics. After figuring out exactly where you want the Pow Tale to live, you just remove the protective backing from the adhesive side and firmly press it onto your boot. The boots need to be clean, dry, and room temperature warm before you do that and a 24 hour cure is advised for the best results. I've been skiing with mine for about 10 days now and there is no issue of their deploying or being hit by your skis at all. Even bplatt03443 could install them for the rare opportunities that occur on the east coast. There's just no downside to having them there.

Good point, better safe than sorry...

I tried to use your web form to order a couple, but "submit" just goes to an empty page.  It was days ago, and I haven't heard back.  Is it really broken, or do you just lag like I do?  ;)

KVD23, I've been getting orders from my web site so I think it's working, but you should use the contact form at the bottom of the "Buy Now" page. Just submit your name, address and number of sets desired and I'll send you an Invoice that will include your 25% discount. It's the only way I can give you the discounted price. Thanks for your interest and order. Please let me know if that doesn't seem to be working. I can also get this info in a PM from you here and do the same with the Invoice.

KVD23,  I just checked all the email addresses on my website and the contact form and they're all working today. I don't know what happened when you tried, but I guess it was just a glitch in the system. It's working now.

Bob
