/and what has been your contribution to society young master Spencer?

//grammar and spelling...they go a long way toward making your posts at least seem worthwhile regardless of what is actually being said.  Spelling is really easy given the spell check button.

EDIT: Had a shaking head Lord Voldemort animated "O No U Didnt" above, gave me a headache and had to change it

Oh, and Spencer, while I think it's lame they pulled your pass... you really need to stop making assumptions about people you don't know.

Well it's pretty clear why your pass was pulled now.

Restoration is not going to happen until the "losers who have no value to society" leave the mountain. Since this is not about to happen soon, you might consider this was all created by you. You're responsible for the situation. Consider that the attitude isn't helping you at all.

Spencer, turn off your 'butt hurt' button. In the process of 'putting someone in their place' after feeling dissed, you've now shortened your rope considerably with a whole lot of amazing 50 year old ski patrollers who might not jib, but most certainly can ski most skiers legs off on terrain that Breck can only imagine. And remember, these are the guys/gals that will be the ones scrapping you up off the snow when you miss, and if you jib long enough, you will. At the local hill, I think every patroller I know has at a minimum a college degree, and many have graduate creds as well. Then there are the docs and nurses who donate time to patrol programs, etc... etc.... Man o man, if my son ever posts the kind of junk like yours above, he's going to get an ear full and at least a week of patrol shadowing duty. If you're beyond the age that you're living with your parents (and I indeed hope that you're around 12-14 so you have a chance of redemption), I'd say you're going to have a pretty rough time with life. Hope you get it together. Just ignore the posts you don't like.  Yeah, and sadly, I have to agree. I'm guessing that you got what you deserved. Keep playing your cards right and the black list is yours for the taking.

Me thinks what is obvious here that it is spendsters mummy and daddy are the ones that are really out the $400 bucks.  BTW, why bother with a Breck pass when there are so many more skierish and less tourist mountains in the vicinity to ski?  If you had any real skills you'd be spending most of your time at Highlands.

Hope mums and dadums have pretty good job connections lined up for their little jewel.  His communication skills certainly will make it difficult for him to secure employment on his own regardless of what kind of college grades he can lay down.  From the looks of the writing skills college might just be a long shot for this one.

Congratulation to your father who put in the hard work so you can ride on the coat tails of his success. Yes. You're going to have a very rough time with life, money and all.

Over a hamburger? No.

But if what the OP posted is really what happened, she has just basically stolen $400 from me. It's possible I could get testy and say something I might regret later over that.

I might even be tempted to take them to small claims court. I know I wouldn't win, but I also know I can easily waste at least $400 worth of their time and balance the scales.

Of course, you have to know this seals your fate and you are never skiing there again.

It's late in the season. I'd just let it ride. I'm glad I outgrew friends like this a long time ago, and don't have to deal with this kind of thing anymore.

Why does it always have to end up this way? A little respect and maturity go a long way even if your brains don't.  The Red jacket was cute though.

You're just baiting him, right?  I don't really need to talk about some parts of the upper mountain at Breck, not to mention A-Basin (he has - or had - an Epic pass).

Shame that was quoted before you thought better of it and deleted.  Classic.

LOL, I really hope this guy is a parody. The fact that he's in college, can't really communicate properly and thinks that his daddy's accomplishments are his own is all very sad. Unless he's a total troll, in which case, standing o.

I'm reposting in this thread, since Spencer made the same post in another thread on "justified-or-not pulling passes."  I apologize for the duplication.

Spencer, I think I see the problem.

Why in the world were you going too fast in slow zone?

Taking a safety class and watching the video in order to get your pass back is intended to correct your behavior and make you more safety conscious.

The second incident, which your post focused on, is another symptom of the same problem. In both cases, your behavior increased the chances of someone getting injured, even if nothing happened as a result.  A pattern of actions and behavior that increases the odds of an accident will eventually result in accidents. OK, you said you were sorry. Did it sink in that you were an serious accident waiting to hurt someone?

Dude, we all love the thrill of skiing.  Maybe you found it hard to contain your enthusiam. I'm glad you love the sport. But you have to ski safe, safer than safe, in slow zones and narrow catwalks, especially when there are other bodies around.

I'm wondering if the dogs on Ski Patrol are losers too. I would think they have even less societal value since they don't even get $8 per hour.

Here's the statement from the Breck Safety page:

Quote:
SLOW ZONES. Certain areas (indicated on the map in yellow) are designated as SLOW ZONES. Please observe the posted slow areas by maintaining a speed no faster than the general flow of traffic. Space and speed are especially important in these areas. Fast and aggressive skiing will not
be tolerated.

Okay I most certainly agree with you I was going fast in  a slow zone it was the last run of the day and there was hardly anyone on the mountain. I admitted to being wrong on that I got carried away and I took my punishment. And I knew I had to ski with caution because I'm at risk for getting my pass pulled now I was skiing switch at 3-5 mph I figured that was pretty cautious and I wasnt violating any rules, this is my dispute with the ski patrol.

So you are going to be sitting in an office and he is going to be skiing?

He wins.

You do realize that this isn't "skipatrollersforum.com," right? I'd bet most people on here aren't ski patrollers.

You also realize how hilarious statements like "Ive invested more money into skiing than your entire paycheck." are when made over the Interwebz, right? If you'll reread, I never said anything about you struggling with money (because I don't know you). But from what I've seen here, I really hope that daddy's got a nice little cubicle lined up for you because it's very clear that you're an entitled brat that isn't particularly good at communicating with others on any level.

It's also pretty clear why you lost your pass, and pretty funny actually.

I've been to Breckenridge a couple of times.  It's a great all around mountain with something for everybody.  But you have to negotiate a lot of four o clock to town tourons like myself to get to and from the goods.  You might even get written up for bombing the catwalks switch!  If I lived out there I'd spend most of my valuable ski time far away from Breck and Vail, just going there with family and less gnarly friends.  ... or possibly on epic PUKING powder days when only the hard core die hards are willing to suit up.  A-basin, Highlands, Copper-Jane would probably be my more frequent destinations.
