I was on the mountain, although over on North Lynx when it happened.
Never heard or saw a thing.
Accident made the 11pm news, but just as an injury.
Was riding a chairlift yesterday with a 50-something gentleman who told me the skier had succumbed
to his injuries. Two young children, wife.
My chair-share said that one of his skiing buddies was quite good friends with the man who perished,
and that he was not by any means an inexperienced skier. I didn't have the heart to ask if he was wearing a helmet,
although truthfully, it almost doesn't matter.
Peace to his family and everyone he loves.
Peace to the patrollers and responders.
I leave my political comments to another thread.
