well out here in Vancouver BC, it's been a mixed bag...started off on a la nina repeat, as forecasters noted, with 'a colder than normal winter' but being colder than usual (they later said) also meant that there was not as much moisture in the air so not as much snow, either...then we'd get milder weather and PNW rain.
i read, however, that Whistler had it's best December on record, such that many US and Cdn resorts back east are sucking.
...plus that Europe had a late start at the time.
Today at whistler there is a temperature inversion (happening over next few days, too) with the village being +2C and the mid mtn
(ugh!) being a warm +6-8C....yucky cold porridge snow, I'm sure.

How's things in the western part of the US, however?
