GAS please help!!! Line Prophet 90

I have GAS...Gear Aquisition Syndrome.  I MUST HAVE A NEW PAIR OF SKIS!!!!!!!!

I bought a pair of Blizzard Magnum 7.6 last year and I love them.  I bomb down the hill and they ride on rails.  But I read all the reviews and I think I need a new pair for fun.

I am 5' 8" weigh 185 my 7.6 are 163 which tells me they should be too short yet I go as fast as I can and they seem unflappable.

I skied for 18 yrs from age 12 to 30 took 10 yrs off.   Since my my kids are 8 and 6 we got back on the wagon.  We go up to one of the Boynes every other weekend. My brain tells me moguls but my knees and back tell me no.  I am a proficient agressive skiier maybe an 8 out of 10.    I love the groomed stuff.  I have skied the powder and love that more but we don't get it here.   I am not Franz Klammer or Johnny Mosely but ski the whole hill as hard as I can.

I was thinking Line Prophet 90.  I want a wider ski.  Last weekend we got 5 inches of fresh stuff and the 7.6 just blew threw it all.  I thought how killer it would of been to ski that stuff in 90 under foot.  Thoughts on length and bindings?

Skis are overrated.  The most important thing you can do for your skiing is getting properly fitted boots from a competent boot fitter.  Go to the "Ask the Boot Guys" forum .....

GO one ebay and get a pair of elan apex w bindings- I saw a pair today in really good shape for 320 (buy it now). Good luck- I have a pair of Kendo's being shipped that I got for $300 w/ marker griffons. If you got a bad case of G.A.C why pay retail?

There are a lot of very good skis there are 88-90mm underfoot.  I suggest trying whatever you can find to demo.  I've tried the Line Prophet 90, Blizzard Bushwacker and Nordica Steadfast.  I could demo the Rossi Experience 88 if I drive about 200 miles to Big Sky, but I think I'll pass on that.  Of the ones I've tried I like the Nordica best because it carves better than the other three.  ItIt also handled very well in the trees and bumps.  WARNING:  YMMV
