Had a great time up there today. Figured I'd head up for the rare Monday pow day.
8-10" overnight reported on snow report -- I'd guess a low estimate as I got a couple faceshots in the glades and off the traverse. Nice running into teledancer and Pete No. Idaho as well as some other Silver regulars.
Skied untracked all day until I had to bail around 1:30. Made my first hike up Wardner this year -- closed the last couple times due to avy danger -- but probably didn't need to waste the energy as there was untracked everywhere else you looked.
Probably should of brought the beacon with me today -- anyone else see the avy debris running down "Shaft" on lower 4? I was the first or second person after patrol to ski down Shaft and after my first turn I look down and see a huge fracture, had me a bit worried for a second -- figured I'd ski over to the debris field if anything new released.
Brought the helmet cam up and got some footage from the day. I'll try to edit something together if I have time this week.
