So what if it's snowboarding? It's perfection:

Head and shoulders above the rest.

So smooth.

Maybe it's the pants.

It's the practice...

Is his halfpipe in Silverton still used?

I think I POD "Podladtchikov," is looking really good too.

As much as I don't care for all the park stuff its still pretty amazing to see how things have progressed...and half pipe (ski or snowboard) is still the coolest event to me.  It was also great to see a local kid, Nick Goepper finish second in slope style on Thursday.

I don't know about the rule but the hand drag at the end of the run does not make it perfect.

Judges didn't miss anything. It's the X-games. That was a manufactured score.

IMO, SW is clearly much better than all others. There is no questions about it. This is a victory lap. Let me ask it the other way, with hand drag or without hand drag, which one should score higher?

Wondered the same thing. I would agree actually. It should be 99.85. cool.gif

If that occured itn the jumping competion on landing it would be a serious markdown.

I missed the perfect run. I did see his 3rd run, and it was very good. Did he do a victory lap, and clean up his third run? Or did the judges screw up and not see the hand drag. 1 point mandatory deduction for a hand drag. I hope the other boarders protested, lest Shaun think he is perfect.wink.gif

Here's a version where they have it on slo mo. It's not really a hand drag. He does touch the wall.

Like they say before the score comes in,  whether its the highest score or not, it's the best run they've ever seen.

I think he has already won by that time. I was watching recording late so I might have missed something

Yes, he's won already because no one can catch his score, but it's still a scoring run, it's not a demonstration run.

Perfect score discussions aside, that was an amazing run.  So fluid and smooth.
