Looking for some reflections on the Blizzard g force supersonic. Looking for a 174. Any word on the characteristics of this ski on the front side....ice hold, turn quickness and high speed stability. Thanks
Here are the characteristics of Blizzard G Force Supersonic 174 cm.
Lengths (cm): 160, 167, 174, 181
Side cut (mm): 123 / 72 / 105 mm
Radius 15,5 m (174 cm)
Construction: IQ Sandwich Compound Sidewall
-Constant edge grip
-Lively ski performance.
I suggest you should go for it.
Supersonics are stable, quick and light. Pretty good hold on ice. Excellent in bumps. Even decent in crud. I love them but when I demoed Volkl Speedwalls SLs I was pretty amazed by the Volkls energy and hold on ice. A superior carver complared to the Supersonic, but less versatile.
Great frontside carver with good versatility. Good prices a few weeks ago at ski essentials, when I last checked. I believe that StartHaus, a forum supporter, also may now have them on spring discount. I bought last year's model, after being told little or no difference besides graphics.
I've owned two pair, my favorite skis! These are quick, lively, stable, great edge grip, solid feeling, light, agile, long turns, short turns and versatile in many conditions. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good frontside ski. I'm 5' 10"/175lbs and ski them in 174cm (I was 235 lbs last season & still worked great).
