I wasnt trying to put him down, I was trying to put the people saying I should take a lesson from him down. Sadly to do point out how absurd that was I had to MA the video and point out what was wrong with it. I do not like putting people down but...

 

I hate being put down more, especially when my advice is better than other people "claiming" that they are doing it in much harder ways.

As I recall, posting a video of another person on the forum for the purpose doing hostile movement analysis of them (read: putting them down or discrediting them) was a breach of policy and punishable by at least a Timeout. Note that it didn't matter what excuse/explanation was used to put up such a video, just that it was used in a hostile way and without the skier's permission.

If a skier puts up their own video and touts it as being X, Y or Z, then it's probably fair game (within reason) for counterpoints to X, Y and Z. Of course, some fairness is needed when bringing up old videos (two or more years past) in order to pick apart that skier's current capabilities.

Anyway, just where did that old policy go? Seems like a good policy to keep around.

I want to be really clear about one thing.  I probably should have already made this more clear...

 

Based on some of the comments, a lot of you seem to think that I am upset because Bushwacker said that he was a better skier than me.  Maybe that is my fault that some people think that.  I want to be very clear in saying that this is not what this is about.  This is about his general attitude abd beliefs about himself and others.  Bushwacker was on my nerves LONG before I ever said anything directly to him about anything.  For most of the time that I have been on this forum it has been the things that he says to other people and about other people (not me) that has bothered me.  When he started singling me out, it was just the straw that broke the camels back... but if you really look at what I have been saying you will see that it's still mostly about what he says to or about other people (Dan Egan in the most recent example). 

 

I will not quote any examples of the things that were bothering me for months before Bushwacker ever said anything about me directly because I am sure all of you have already seen examples, unless you're new to the forum.  You don't have to look hard for sure.
