Tipping the bootfitter?

Thread Starter

Hi,

I recently replaced my liners with new Intuition liners. The bootfitter went well above and beyond the call of duty to make them work with the shells, but since the shop has a fixed price for boot fitting I didn't have to pay much.  In short I think I got more than my money's worth and would like to thank the bootfitter.

Is a tip customary or appropriate here?  I don't want to offend (I wouldn't offer a tip to my dentist, for instance.)  If not, what else might I do to show appreciation?

BTW, I tried searching the forum but nothing turned up.  Nobody has asked this question before?

Yes by all means a tip is appropriate when you feel you have received exceptional service or above and beyond effort!  This also etches you in the memory of that particular boot fitter and the wheels are greased in the event you need his/her help in the future!  Chances are your monetary consideration will pay dividends for you in the future!  Beer is usually an appreciated tip as wellrolleyes.gif

Good on ya!

yes we love it...in the past i've been given homemade cookies, cakes, whiskey but all boot fitters love beer....make sure they are of age.
