I'm an expert skier, I don't understand the US rating systems but I'm a former level 2 CSIA level instructor (Canada).

I'm 30 years old, 5'9" and I weigh 170 pounds. I'm looking for an east coast carver that is great on boiler-plate ice. I love short to medium radius turns so I generally prefer a slalom ski at shorter lengths. I'd like a carving ski 170cm or less.

I've demoed lots of skis the past couple of seasons. My favorites were the 168cm Volkl Tigershark 12 foot PS. If I could find some used I would buy a pair but what other carving skis would you guys recommend?

I love a ski with strong turn initiation like my magnums but I want a bit more edge hold.
