Armada JJ/TST Length Question

Looking at getting a pair of either JJ's or TST's (still unsure which), my main question is regarding the length. I'm 163cm tall, 110lbs, and I'm not sure if I should go with the 165 in either ski or the 174(TST) or 175(JJ). By actual length the 165 would be about perfect, the only reason I consider the next size up is because as we all know, they ski quite short. That being said I'm not sure if I would even need the extra length even if they ski shorter at my weight. But I want something that can last my length wise (I'm only 17). It's goes back and fourth and since I can't decide which I'm going to ask you knowledgeable people!

Thanks in advance.

If you look at these skis in person you will notice quite a bit of tip rocker and in the case of the JJ's some tail rocker too.  That said, these both ski very short.  I would definitely recommend you by the 175ish length unless your just a beginner that wants to be on a 150ish feeling ski.  The running length on my 183 TST's is similar to my sisters 163? Dynastar Edens.

Thanks a lot for the reply liv2 ski. Ya like i mentioned the actual 165 length is probably the right length, but since they both have quite a bit of rocker (the JJ with more) they will ski short so that's way I'm thinking of stepping up to the 175's. I'm a solid advanced skier, but since my height and lightweight I'm not sure I would need the 175? Again it's back and fourth.

Question to anyone else that happens to read through hear: Does anyone know the actual length of the 175 JJ's or 174 TST's in a straight tape pull, just for reference.

Thanks!

Just wanted to help with my opinion after spending the last three days in Tahoe on the 174 TST's.  I'm 5'6" 155 lbs, and I would say i'm a low level advanced skier.  I was surprised how short the TST skied.  I went with the 174 (kind of kicking and screaming on the advice from a couple ski shops) and was really concerned that it was going to be way too much ski.  I had a bad experience with 170 Mantra's last season and I was spooked big time by the length.  I've got to say I was way wrong.  They ski really short because of that huge rocker.
