2012 Liberty Helix 187 or 182

Hello all just wondering what size would be the better option for me.  I am about 5'11 and 195 pounds and would consider myself to be a lower level advanced skier.  I am currently living in Aspen, CO (second winter) and can comfortably ski wide open blacks and double blacks and am working on my tree skiing (decent at best).  I would like to get better at tree skiing which is why I am wondering if the 182 might be better for me.  Thanks in advance!

also... i was looking at the Rossignol FKS 140 XXL but was wondering if the 115 mm brake width is going to be to wide for the the ski (105 underfoot)

Someone please answer me!

You'll be fine with the 115mm brake.  I have Marker Jesters with 132mm brakes on my DPS Wailer 112's with zero issues.

You'll be good. I have Marker 110mm breaks on 98mm waist ski. zero issues. 115 on 105 should be good.

Im 5'8" and 145 and I ski the helix in 176 in the northeast (way tighter trees than CO) and they took some getting used to in the trees.  Im still not as comfortable as in the past, but part of that is that im also used too a ski thats way too short for me.  So out west you will probably be fine with a 187. Itll take a week or so to get comfortable but after that I dont see you having much of a problem. 5cm more is only 2 inches
