Recently a boot fitter said a number of things that surprised me while I was talking to him...
'If a boot has a walk mode, you should be able to fit the wide axis of a Scarpa boot fitting stick down the back of the heel when doing a shell fit'. (I think that the wide axis of a Scarpa boot fitting stick is 30mm?)
'You should fit the boot to a customer's larger foot, and accommodate the smaller foot by adding extra padding'
'You can only add 3mm of length to a boot by stretching'
I thanked the boot fitter for his advice and left the shop. The above opinions sound different to things that I've read on the internet, so I'm left wondering if I should trust the shop in the future?
(I'm not going to name the shop on this thread).
