Here is a tip I would like to pass along. I bought a "magnifying glass" visor that you put on your head and then it flips up and down over your eyes. It has a double lens (for each eye) glass built in. I bought it a an electronics store. I am sure you can find it on the web.
Donegan DA-10 OptiVisor Headband Magnifier, 3.5x Magnification, 10 Diopers, 4" Focal Length
Anyway, I find this great for examining the edges, the base structure, the gap under the true bar (both back lit and top lit). You can see any burs and can see how sharp and polished your edges are. It quickly lets you see if what you are doing is effective, or just a waste of time. I was polishing my side edges and they felt funny, one look and I could see I was polishing the side wall plastic, and not even touching the edges.
