Great pictures and great skiing!

Is that a siting of the illustrious monoboard in the first shot?

^^^^^If you look closely you can actually see these are skis he's on - the tips tell it. wink.gif

It continues to snow right now, can't wait for the next round with the gang. biggrin.gif

Ha!  I did a quick double take myself thinking you were rocking a mono board in that first shot.  Nice trip.  Fabulous looking conditions.

Conditions this weekend are supposed to be even better. biggrin.gif

I looked at that website. Great pictures!

I couldn't post it here, but there's a shot of cliffs like you see in Wyoming. The thing is, most of the near vertical surfaces had snow on them. Do they get wet snow that then gets dried out by cold air, llke Alaska? Sticking to very steep slopes.

^^^^^ This occurred during some of the recent snowfall indeed. Many of the cliffs are on the mid or lower mountain where temperatures sometimes go above the freezing level.

Wow, really nice pics! a lot more powder than the foot we got here.

Been to Slovakia a couple years ago...

On piste skiing - budget solution for Europeans, not worth to fly from other side of the pond.

Off piste - if you get powder, it's great...

Good beer, low prices... have some pictures, but will post them later...

What is name of the area you were at?

I was in Jasna. http://www.jasna.sk/en/winter/

Skied moslty North side because our bus stopped there and some other considerations... Top chairlift was stopped most of time - without it you would't want to climb to get to South. South had much more snow and no lift lines...

Late february.. 6 sunny days of 7.  You could see how snow melted...

Resort didn't turn on snowmaking although they had freezing temperatures at night. So that's a icon13.gif. Scratched my skis there...

I'm thinking of going there once again... But with wide skis on South side...

Forgot... RC-skiers (straight-liners) on piste. I saw one crashing into a woman who had stopped/fallen on the side. Sharpen your poles too duel.gif
