3 Days In B.C.

Just heading back from a 3 day trip to B.C.  Jan 13 14 and 15 2012

I skied 1 day at whitewater, and 2 days at White Grizzly Cat Skiing.

Whitewater was fun,  mostly packed powder on the groomed trails.  The trees had pockets of sugary snow.  Crowds were non

existant.  Not a powder day, but I loved the feel of the hill, in particular the Backside trees.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           White Grizzly cat skiing was AWESOME!  They had more snow than anywhere else in the area.  The Terrain was awesome, and the lodge and operation were great two. Here are two pictures to get started.

Nice!!  Timing is everything.  WG is a great trip with a lot of really nice terrain.  Brad and Karole really make it a comfortable place to stay.  Was Mark from London there?

Hitting WG in early Feb. Glad to hear it's looking good already!

Do you remember who your guides were (other than Brad)?

Heh Dave, nice shots!  And good call on choice of trip.  You're a lucky man.

Steve from Nelson and Dave from Golden

Both were great.

Took us into great terrain but also kept us safe.

We were supposed to go to SLC mid january, but changed our tickets to Kicking Horse. Just came back. Awesome terrain, huge mountain and very few people on the slopes (although on the weekends there can be some wait at the Gondola, the only way to get to the top from the bottom and no mid station).BackCountryKickingHorse.jpgCPRRidge.jpgDeepPowderKickingHorse.jpg Also had  great powder conditions, last day was freakishly cold. But we still had a lot of fun. Going back to KHMR for Prez Day break skiing.

Here are a few more pics, and then a link to the shutterfly album. Its too bad I lost my helmet cam on the second run of the day.  I am the skier in orange and red with a black helmet.  The rest are people I met in the group.
