need fit advice for odd knee tracking

My knee tracking is odd, as I was born with bad knee position (thanks to my dad's genes). When I squat, my right knee tracks basically up and down, but my left knee moves way to the inside. To get my left knee to track straight, I have to let my left foot point strongly to the outside. But, I am not "knock-kneed" or "bowlegged". As a result, I cannot carve the same tight arcs when turning right as I can turning left, nor can I perform a one-legged squat with the same degree of strength with my left leg as I can my right.

How can this condition be corrected by proper fitting? Will orthotics bring my knee tracking into alignment? What about shims? When I had my last boot fit and canting, the tech checked only my neutral knee position and aligned it over the big toe. He didn't note my knee position when flexed.
