Ski bag that can also hold boots?

I'm sorry if this is a total newbie question, but I just got my first pair of boots and skis.

I'm wondering if there is a ski bag out there that can also hold my boots? I'm flying to Vermont in a few weeks and it would be nice if I could put all my gear in one bag.

If this is possible, is there a ski bag out there that you guys would recommend?

Thanks for the help :)

Most folks here are vehemently opposed to checking boots in any kind of bag.  Skis are more easily replaced than good fitting boots in the event that they are damaged or temporarily lost in transit.

I'm having trouble picturing what such a product would look like, and how you'd carry it or put it down somewhere.

There's a very recent thread (or at least recently posted upon) on flight cases for skis.

Transpak makes nice boot bags by my lights. What you like depends on some variables, like how you want to carry it, etc.

Find a big backpack (or other large-ish carry on) and carry your boots with you.  Seriously.

There are various threads on here as to how to optimally pack a ski bag with clothes (or whatever...) so your skis will survive the rough treatment of the baggage handlers and make life easy for the TSA people.

Take a look at the Oakley ski bag : http://www.oakley.com/products/5052/16529

That makes a lot of sense. If I had really nice boots I'd prolly feel similarly. The boots I have aren't that nice, so if something were to happen to them it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

The Dakine ones fit boots as well as your skis. This one has pockets on the top for your boots seperate form the main body of the bag which your skis, pole etc go in.

We've used them a lot and have never had any trouble so far with damage on planes.

I have Dakine double ski bag 200cm, Concourse. Just posted on Craigslist for sale. PM me if interested.

OT but related, Alaska Airlines considers skis and boots as a single piece of luggage. Saves on cost even if not as convenient as a single piece of luggage..

Here's a possibility that I just picked up on over at TGR.  Looks big enough for a pair of skis and boots:

I don't know much about it, but I'd love to see a review here.
