Where do you guys stay in Salt Lake City? - Page 2

This will be my fourth time to SLC. 3 weeks stay in Studio 6 which is in Murray and 1 min off the interstate, About $40 a night. Plenty eats nearby.

If you rent something that does not have a fold down rear seat recline the front seat and put the skis there. A bin bag over the seat is a good idea. add that to the pack list.

If it is chains in the BCC LCC then park at the bottom and take the skibus up..

Make sure you ski Alta and if you get a powder day at the weekend consider going to Canyon or Snowbasin. Alta will be busy.

I do 3-5 SLC trips per year.

1) get car

2) places you MUST go are Snowbird, Snowbasin and (probably) Canyons.

3) Stay somewhere decent. If I'm at the LCC/BCC side I stay at the Residence Inn Cottonwood. In PC, it's the Pc Marriott (where I'm typing this now). Conditions right now are marginal for SLC, but for a least-coaster you'd love it

4) Discount tickets to a few of the places are available on Liftopia, but none of the PC areas. The Lift House at the base of BCC has a lot of discounts.

5) Many or most rental cars do NOT have folding rear seats. Being a Hertz President's club member I can demand them, but no Toyota's, and most Nissans do not have folders. My preference for a car is a Chrysler 300 - all wheel drive, folders etc. I have a Dodge Durango right now. Unnecessary.

6) DO NOT MAKE MONOPARAGHS! They make your posts unreadable

7) A least coast expert will get humbled VERY quickly at Snowbird, so take that under advisement.
