Okay, the name is pretty stupid, albeit arguably effective, but this bag looks pretty solid. Looks like it's euro-only for now but is supposed to jump the pond next season:

in all seriouslness, this is a great design. I usually end up carrying two bags and slinging the ski bag over my shoulder. it would be nice to have this design

Hey, I just saw Douchebag today. It is nice and unique. Price is less than $300, I have seen it online for $260 but in store it was closer to the $300 mark. Taking it to a ski trip this winter, will let you know how it live up to a week trip.

As I think someone already stated aptly over on TGR...carrying around a ski bag with that moniker does cry out for some sort of verbal abuse and maybe even some physical abuse.  duel.gif  Seriously, even if it was the greatest bag ever...its a pretty juvenile name for it.  I don't get the appeal, but I read it was designed in the UK or down Under..I think.  Don't quote me on that.

It is owned/developed by freeskiing (and aspiring racing) star Jon Olsson (he's Swedish, lives in Monaco) at the beginning of 2012

would have loved it coming home from Alta with a ruptured quad tendon!! was quite a show boot bag on shoulders ski bag on one hand crutches in other!

A few comments on Olsson's blog pointed out the problem with the name.  The company is in Norway.

 

Olsson also helped develop a ski goggle with an odd brand name . . . YNIQ.

No problems with the name (yes, know the meaning, just think it is funny), ya all just need to lighten up and remember most of the World doesn't speak American English.  And when my trusty double ski bag finally bites the dust I'll go shopping for a Douchebag, unless something better has come along.

Great review! I am guessing this is priced to be competitive with the "hard" ski carrier (Sportube) while offering an easier way to walk with it combined with roll up storage (the Sportube when shortened still takes up room in a hotel or car.

Anyone know if there are any issues with strapping the dbag to a roof rack?
