Cyrus,

I am sorry but it is not normal to have snowboarders "ram" into your skis and it is not the skis fault, this does go far beyond normal wear and tear. I would also suggest a ski bag to protect your skis on your ski trips to reduce further damage...ah and not hang out with snowboarders..you are better than that. wink.gif

Thank you so much. I am going to get one. Will these peelings of plastic (on the side of my ski) affect my skiing? I am planning to go up soon.

Nope.

Learn how to maintain the bottoms and don't fret about the tops. Check out the tuning & maint forum stickies.

Hey I have those same skis, mine seem like they are decently durable, just make sure you protect them from douches (it seems like everybody who boards in middle and high school is). If the plastic is just the top sheet type area, and not the edges, it shouldn't really affect how they ski.

Yeah, it's just superficial if it's the topsheets that are chipping. Just make sure there is no way water can get into the core.

Theft deterrent.
