Volkl code

So, I have been on the volkl codes about 6 times now and they are easy to ski but the wow factor does not seem there . I want to set up a demo of the 2012 G force power  next week and see if I like them better. not sure if it's the early rise or not.

I am sure stockli will bring something new for 2013 in the cross line or maybe blizzard. Good thing SIA is only a few weeks away.

I am not saying that the codes are bad skis, I am just saying they are different than what I have been on in the past .

Not sure that this should be a surprise..........I mean.....you have been warned.

Most all the the reviews here have stated the very fact that this is the best "K2" that Volkl has ever built. Good ski for all that but maybe not for a 5% 'er. So.....if you really are a 5% 'er (or better) there are a lot of choices including the Current G-Power and the Course Ti. There is nothing in the Volkl lineup that compares to those two for the intended purpose.

You can wait until 2016 if you want to but if you choose the right thing, the current crop in this category is as good as any skier anywhere needs it to be.

The real magic bullet for you will come in 2017 with the arrival of the quad reverse rocker/unobtanium core all mountain carvers.

You heard it here first.

Rented the g force power fs today and that is an amazing ski . They had the 167 and 174 for demo . I ripped around on the 174 and it held like glue . To give volkl a fair shake , after 4 runs I jumped on the volkl codes and skied the same runs . The g power has better grip and it's lighter.

Im 5"11 198 and after my test , I bet the 167 would just rip .

They offered me a great deal on a pair of 167cm - that all they have
