"disrupt" according to dictionary.com com means: 1) to cause disorder or turmoil in; or, 2) to destory, usually temporarily, the normal continuance or unity of; or, 3) to break apart.

hard for me to envision how a written comment in the suggestion box amounts to endangering other people, damages equipment, or is disruptive to operations.  I suppose ratting them out to the forest service in a sense is "disruptive to operations" in that the forest service had some questions before renewing the lease, however, not sure the lease has much to do with the operations of the hill so to speak.

the last unsafe thing i saw on the hill and reported resulted in a big thank you from the ski patroller who rectified it, rather than me being denied service unless and until i rendered an apology.

Yeah, I know some guys here who are regulars and have complained for years and they still get passes.  I am sure the mgmt must have comments to each other about them (and for all I know, about me as well), but I don't know of any passes suspended except for GROSS rules violations like skiing into blasting areas (and that was temporary) or loaning your pass to others.

If only he was a young snowboarder with a camera .....

Sounds like the resort owner is a bit of a dick...    If people in CA were denied season passes for complaining, our mountains would be empty...

I agree with Alex.  Isn't it every season pass holder/locals god given right, obligation & responsibility to whine, bitch & complain about everything?

Maybe that explains why no one's at Squaw and Kwood?

You all know we are open, right? 7 days a week. Period. And we are making as much snow as we can as often as we can. Comments keep popping up that make me think not everyone realizes this. So, just to be clear, we are OPEN and, though the terrain is limited, it has been super fun to carve up the corduroy. So get off the couch or off that desk chair and come on out for some sunny turns. In fact, that's such a good idea, I'm going to get out of my own desk chair and make some turns. See you out there.

And, an update:  http://www.adventure-journal.com/2012/01/verdict-montana-snowbowl-must-allow-complaining-guest-to-ski/

Short version is they now have to sell him tickets so that the total doesn't add up to more than a season pass, but he still has to go to the window every time.  So....he took his business elsewhere.

I keep thinking that no ski area could be this incredibly stupid public-relations-wise and that there MUST be more to it!!!

Sadly, that's not even the dumbest PR move a ski resort has made within the past year.

Are ski resorts just power-mad for no reason at all? Some of these moves are just pure facepalm.
