Just got off a wonderful of day of massive crowds and ice at Hunter Mountain today. Cant complain though since there are always points of the day where it makes it all worth it. I have some decent boots, Nordica Hot Rod 95s and they are generally a great fit for my foot. I had some custom footbeds made but pulled them last yr since the foot pain was brutal primarily on the bottom part of my foot. So fast forward and now I am able to ski just fine with the std foot beds but I still get that same pretty severe pain on the bottom of my flat feet for about the first 5 runs and then it seems to disappear. Just wondering what this exactly is? Its of course more pronounced on a day of heavy crud, ice balls etc like it was today. Anyhow, wondering if there are any boot fitters out there with some advise. I want to head back to my boot fitter and try the custom foot beds again but after three tries and worse luck I am almost ready to mail that idea in.
