i have not skied for 6 years and just been back for a ski today, i'm a good skier, i ski with pretty good form as i've had lots of coaching and have skied with a racing club, one thing i had forgoten about during the lay off is the pain in my feet from my boots, its always down the outsides of my feet, from the toes back to the mid area of the side of my foot,(in the fleshy part) i had foot beds made for my feet, was fitted out by a boot fitter.
This problem is happening on my current pair of boots, I've had the boots about 7 years but as i say i've not skied for 6 years so theyre in good condition, the boots are salomon x wave 9,
i also had the problem in my previous boots, technica tnt explosion9these must be some 13/14 years ago i had those,
i have collapsed arches aka flat feet, i wear othotics prescribed for this and the foot beds i had made up for me also account for this problem,
any one got any ideas?
