Anybody ever do this? I got in a few laps today with no poles and it actually feels pretty good. I just hid my poles in a bush somewhere and picked em up 4 runs later. I wouldn't always ski like this but I like the free and natural feeling haha.

One more thing:

Last year I remember the groomers the snow was always pretty soft and not usually firm. Last year I was able to carve really nice sharp turns. This year it is all man made and whenever I try to lay the edge down I am always afraid it will slide out and it does a lot so I can never actually carve nice turns I am either straight lining or doing the slide turns.
