Ski Sizing Help?

Thread Starter

I need some helping deciding on the best ski size.  I'm looking at the 2012 K2 Kung Fujas and trying to decide between 179 or 189.  I'm 6'3" 195-200lbs.  I live in Colorado and I'm an intermediate skier.  By intermediate I mean I grew up on the east coast going to WV to ski once or twice a season for about 12 years...this is my first season in colorado and I plan to get 30 days in this year.  I can handle most blacks without any problem but I have lots of room for improvement.  Any suggestions?

At 6'3" and 200 pounds I think you will find the 179 to short after a few days. The slight tip and tail rocker makes it ski shorter. At 6'3" your still slightly taller than the 189cm skis so you will be all set, and with the improvement your going to get skiing 30 days this year.

With your limited days past skiing, what made you pick the fujas?

i live and ski CO.

do you plan on skiing mostly off-piste?

Demo before you decide is my best advise.
