250+ teens caught with drugs on ski trip

I saw this bus with the words "divine transportation" coming out of BCC A few days ago.  Figured it was chartered through some religious group on a ski trip.  Had a good chuckle after reading the article under the link below. smile.gif

No kidding.  What company takes 250 unchaperoned kids across two state lines?  I've dealt with kids professionally for many years and I've never heard of anyone doing this.  The article implies, but does not say, that every kid had illegal drugs and/or alcohol, which I highly doubt.  Something is not complete here.

They should had hired these guys to take their drugs to Utah.

I have an image of John Candy driving the bus.

Dan Aykroyd as the cop who takes the drugs and hides out somewhere to "sample" some.

What a sad state of affairs when California has to out source safety meeting classes for their kids  nonono2.gif.

Federal regulated Commercial vehicles that transport illegal drugs across state lines are never returned to service until a DOT inspection and driver transfer is made.

scary, next thing you know the teens will be listening to rock and roll and having sex. Compliments to the police department who I am sure did not actually jail everyone just because of lack of cell space despite what they may have told the press. Glad to see a bit of common sense.

However the parents who are now suing the bus company need a serious smack down.

Further cementing Utah's rep as THE place to go on a ski "trip."

Must've been good weed indeed.  Big score for the local cops!

I had a Colorado HP cut me some serious slack one time when we got pulled for speeding along a two lane highway many years ago.  Lots of wrongness going on during that road trip.  Big giant cop looked at the nonono2.gif pile of beer cans on the back seat, smoke pouring out of the vehicle windows and says.. "you boyz on yer spring break?"  Then, I started explaining that I left my drivers license back at the apartment in Oklahomaredface.gif  He ignored all the big problems and just wrote me a $25.00 ticket and sezz.. "you've got 90 days to mail that in, will that be OK?"

I have a hard time understanding what really happened here. The Police would never have been able to get search warrants for all the buses just because someone saw some kids smoking pot, they probably would have a hard a hard time getting warrants for the kids that were smoking even if the knew which were which.

If I were a parent I probably would have sued because they allowed the police to take my kids herb.
