I read a post that said not to detune a shaped ski. This is dulling a small part of the tip and tail edge to help turn initiation. To me with rocker it seems this is not necessary and could negatively impact the ski performance if you are skiing hard. What are your opinions?
Do you detune a shaped or rockered ski?

Ive heard that the tips on a rockered ski are "catchy" if they are not detuned. Also I have to detune one pair of my skis for them to be able to initiate a turn at all. When I didnt detune the shovel the edges on the shovel would push the edge up and out of the snow, basically a poor tip design.
