Sun Valley is in the south of Idaho and not known for getting a lot of snow.  Notice the "Sun" in Sun Valley?  The northern part of Idaho (Schweitzer, Lookout, Silver) and the areas in Washington near Spokane (49 Degree North, Mt Spokane) is considered Inland Pacific Northwest, so is often in the same weather patterns as the Cascades, usually a little less snow, usually drier.

That said, if anyone is contemplating a NW trip, here's the 7-day forecast for Stevens Pass.   Crystal is about the same, Baker usually gets more snow.
