Schweitzer Trip Report 12/23/2011-12/25/11 - Page 2

I skied Schweitzer the 24th to the 3rd of January with a day a Lookout Pass. I REALLY REALLY like the mountain. Most people had pretty accurate descriptions above. The thing that struck me is how big the mountain is and how few people there were compared to Colorado. The more I don't ski in Colorado, the more average Colorado gets.

I posted a TR over on Skinc.com

Nice report on that other site.  If you ever come back let me know and maybe can meet you at Lookout or Silver and show you where the real  good skiing is located.  Glad you and Disireed had a good time in our really crowded Inland PNW.  Snows coming and we will be powder skiing next week = no more dust on crust.

It is always good to hear old friends described by new voices.

Nice TR.  Now take Pete's' advice and go ski Silver too.

Yep exactly. My frame of reference is definitely the I-70 resorts.

We definitely thought about going to Silver since it was closer. The day we went though they were not reporting any new snow due to rain. Lookout reported a legit 2 inches on top of the ~10 that was rained on the day before. Plus tickets at Lookout are absurdly cheap.
