Last year, when I did this paint job, I wondered how it would hold up after a season of skiing.  Well, here goes....

 

 

 

 

Not too bad, but far from pristine.  I think a lot of the gouges happened when I went to Whiteface only a few days after painting them, where they suffered through a few spectacular wipeouts and somersaults eek.gif.  They might have been more durable if I'd had the foresight to give them some more time to harden.

 

I'm debating whether to touch them up for this winter.  It's a lot of work masking all the hardware.  Maybe I'll just let them go another season and then do something *totally* different, to assuage the folks who were puzzled at my choice of mere "Lange blue" smile.gif

OK, so if I paint anything simply avoid skiing Whiteface (LOL)? Nice experiment, and the boots still look OK. Like a worn backpack, the boots show you are a real skier who actually spends time on the snow.
