$299 kung fujas? too good to be true?

Found some 2009 Kung fujas at Al's ski barn.....Why so cheap? I know from the postings on this board that most people think they are decent skis and some people even say they rip up the whole mountain within reason.

I am wondering if the 2009 model was not up to par? I know the 2009 has a 95 waist and the newer fuja boards are a bit wider and I think they added some added rocker to the ski?

Has anyone skied the 2009 and the newer ski? how different are they?

Maybe they are priced so low due to only having a 189 in stock. Althought these are twins and they ski shorter so they aren't crazy long....maybe for bumps or trees I guess

Looking for feedback on the 2009 model as well as trying to confirm what changes were made

Thanks

You better look again. $329.99! Anyway, I have a pair that are 179cm or so and they are a well mannered all mountain ski. If you are looking for a deal these look good. Don't know anything about them but for the price hard to go wrong.

So how are they in super deep powder with the 95 waist?in the Bumps? the Park? How do you have them mounted, center? How about on groomers or hardpack ice? are they nible for spins?

They are mounted center and float well in deep snow. Really blast through crud and chop at speed. Hold a good edge on hard pack conditions and are quick enough in the bumps. Don't do the Park. They are 20% rocker in the front so some tip flat above 45 mph, they ski well switch even in the pow.

I guess you could give it a go at that price. They will be good if not to serious about charging.
