Kastle FX 94 binding mounting

There is a little tag on the Kastle FX 94s indicating that the bindings screws should only penetrate 6mm. From what I understand conventional wisdom is to sink the binding screws something like 8 mm so that at least 4 threads of the screw are engaged. The depth of the skis at the binding mount positions measures about 12 mm. Does anyone have any experience with this and if it is important to follow the 6 mm guidance?

The manufacturers are pretty good at knowing how deep a screw should penetrate their product. In the case of the FX, a lighter, THINNER ski than most, I would respect their suggestion. A reputable shop will read that and use the proper bit.
