Pair of skis recommendation

Hey all,

I'm looking to buy my first ever pair of new all mountain skis.  Having rented my whole life, I'd like some recommendations.

I'm a 20 year old expert skier that goes all over the mountain.  I ski probably 50% groomed at speed, 40% moguls, bowls, trees, etc., and 10% in the park.  That 40% includes some backcountry/skinning/etc.

As far as where I ski, I want these skis to be a 1 ski quiver for the east coast.  They will need to handle a lot of ice/crud with the occasional day of limited powder.  They'll take about 20 days a year and will need to last.

I asked a few friends for advice and the skis they told me to check out where the Rossignol Avenger 82s, the Line Chronics, the Soloman Lords, and the Soloman twenty twelves.  Do you guys have opinions on any of those?

Are there other skis that fit my ski style better?  I have a pretty high price point as they are a graduation present.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

David

Try the K2 Rictor.   I tested these last week and they were fantastic.  Fast, easy turn, no chatter, sure under foot.  I plan to order a pair this weekend!

Dynastar Legend 8000's (older)

Dynastar Sultans, somewhere in the 80-85 range depending on how wide you want them.
