Need a childs boot for a 10 year old I2 racer, 55lbs 4' 5", not sure what level she is at, but they were doing Husky snow stars level 4 exercises last weekend, and coach said she was a strong skier. On a non race (soft) racetiger jr GS in a 120 and have a 130 for later in the season, about 20.5 shell w aprox 1" at heel.
Was on Lange team 7 last year, and flex was ok though child kept overtightening buckles causing cold feet (3 buckle no microadjust). Fit not bad, but a bit low over instep, which probably was cutting off some blood flow.
Was going with a Rossi Radical Jr 60, as it is the 4 buckle with micro adjust that is the step up from her old boots. Found out when drying the liners that the rt liner had been formed with the tongue /toebox a 1/2" to one side, which puts more material over the arch, which I suspect will be a problem down the road preasure wise. Instep buckle is lightly done up, cuff buckles will have to be moved -top is on last notch and she wants it tighter already. (no powerstrap)
Because of the liner issue I was going to exchange the boots for one of the same, but its liner is still off, though better than the original. Fitter also brought out a Tecnica Diablo race 70, which has a better liner, boot board, and has a powerstrap and moveable cuff buckles. Due to the problem of getting feedback from a 10 year old, what is the volume difference between these shells, and how much stiffer is it (the rossi works but is maybe on the soft side due to lack of power strap and soft upper cuff)
Thanks for any input
