I found some powder this weekend! Wolf Creek (video)

Hit up Wolf Creek Ski Area last minute this past weekend.  And while this video was shot two days after the storm that dumped 23" inches (over a couple days) ended, there were still fresh tracks to be had in spots and plenty of soft snow!  Was shown the goods by fellow EpicSki user Petey.

First ski trip of the year and was rewarded.

Hey Great Ben,  looks like you were having some fun there.  From all the forum talk about lack of snow you were lucky to get out out there and enjoy good powder.

Ive only been closely following the utah chat though!

Nice - I'm jealous (along with everyone else in California).  Good video to show how well those Bones float on the powder.

Yea, very lucky to have those good conditions.  The Bones seemed to float pretty well--however, that snow had setup for a couple days so it was definitely 'thicker' powder.  I do think the bones would sit much deeper in truly fresh dry stuff.  Has me wondering about the Cochises haha.

i'd aim your camera up a little. It looks like your looking down at your feet. I'd like to see where you are going more. perhpas people have different ideas of whats good for pov though. looks fun though

Agreed... you can still see your skis if you point the camera more forward/up.

Glad to know now that some place on planet Earth has decent snow. Looked like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.

Super fun.  Nice video.  Was right there with you and wanted to lay down some carves.

Thanks for posting.

The east coast is so hurting too man - we need a blast of cold and some fresh stuff soooo bad.

Which helmet cam are you using?  That thing looks pretty good.  What's the battery and recording life like?

Thanks guys.  Yea, I mounted the camera on a new helmet that morning so I was playing with the angle.  I was guessing as it's different than how I mounted to my old helmet.  I moved it up for a couple of the last runs of the day. But most of the day it was down more than I'd like.  Although I think it's good to see some skis in the snow, since if you don't, what fun is it to just watch trees going by :)

GoPro HD Hero...  Nice camera.  I would highly recommend getting the new HD Hero2.  Even better. Amazing camera.

Wolf Creek is up to 200 inches snowfall already.  Pretty amazing.
