Hey, all, I'm new to the board. I am traveling with a client of mine on a 4-day ski trip on the dates mentioned above. We will be flying from San Jose.
Whistler (neither of us have been there)
Mammoth (I have not been there)
Snow Basin (anywhere near Park City)
Money is a bit of an issue, but not the sole consideration. We both mainly ski groomers, but if there was some nice powder, would love to try it (I have never really skied nice, fresh, non-damp power--like from Utah or Colorado). My friend will probably board and ski. He's not great at either, but he will ski fast and loves a challenge.
I raced for 3-4 years and am a front-side carver. I ski very aggressively and fast. I have skied Alta, Snowbird (when I was 15 (25 years ago), and I loved them). I also skied Mt Bachelor (when I was 9) and loved that. Outside of skiing Tahoe, never have been to ski at the other locations. I normally ski Squaw with the guys if I go to Tahoe or Northstar with the family. I think we'd like a nice skiing destination that was fairly priced and had some night-life (at least nearby).
Whistler, I've heard, is great. But, have heard the weather there (as well as the snow) can sometimes really suck.
Any recommendations? I think Jackson Hole is too far.
Thanks in advance.
