Boot half size too big on one foot

I've got some Salomon X3-120 boots.  My right foot is a full half size smaller than my left foot.  The left boot fits perfect.  I still get some heel lift in the right foot even after a shim was put under my heel.  What else can I do?  Is there any material that can be put over the top of the foot/ankle for added thickness to keep the foot pressed down when buckled?  Thanks.  Bert

eliminator tongues might help?

some "L" pads around the ankle bones?

thicker sock on that side?

I looked up Eliminator Tongue Shims and it may do what I am looking for.  Thanks for the tip!

I like the thicker sock on the smaller foot idea!! The eliminator tongue will likely be toooo much.

I was taught that REAL skiers don't wear thick socks. biggrin.gif  I guess no one would see.  I'll experiment with a thick sock.

I went to see a bootfitter about my foot being a half size to small for the boot.  He put a firm, large pad, about 6" by 3" by 3"16" thick shaped like an "X" about 2" above my heel on the back of the liner.  The "X" goes behind and around the sides of my foot.  It seemed to push my foot forward and hold better at the sides to reduce heel play.  I went skiing and it did solve the problem!
