Park City, UT snow report????

I am new to this forum, but not forums in general. I have a trip planned to Park City, UT starting in 4 days, and i'm nervous about the snow. Currently there are only 20 runs open, and a base depth of only 18". Can anyone chime in about how the mountain is and how it is going to function once it becomes packed during the Christmas rush?

I've heard about some folks are rescheduling.  There won't be as many locals there over the holidays either.  Be glad they get 20 runs open.  We had four pretty decent Wednesday morning.  Today they all turned to mudfrown.gif  If I had reservations there I'd definitely be excited to be skiing at all.  Could be better, but could be worse too.

Was in Park City on the 5/6 for work.  Skied DV as I figured they would have the best conditions of what was open. It actually skied fine, just not a lot of the hill open.  What was open was typical DV buffed groomers. Hope that helps - better than losing a deposit, right?

Thanks for the info y'all. Hopefully a nice storm comes in. Anyone else with some info?

My daughter has been racing there since 12/15 and conditions are good, for racing anyway.  Mostly man made at this point but if you like groomers it's good.  No crowds and lot's of room to ski.  Enjoy it and don't fret.  It's better than working after all!

Got in 6 days at PCMR and the Canyons.  Yes the terrain is limited but the groomer zooming is pretty darned good. Have only run into a rock garden once and that was me being stupid.

More snow is needed but, we are skiing.  Besides, don't people really go to Utah to ski the blue groomers?

lol, i guess thats what counts. Never skied PC, always been in Taos, do they constantly "make" snow during the day too?
