Moving my 4 year old to 80 cm

First day out this year and we tried to move from the 67's to 80's. She resisted and I put her back on her 67's. Is there any reason to move her up to the 80's if she is comfortable with the 67's. She just turned 4, last year she was skiing intermediate trails slowly on her own. We get out about 50 days a year. I understand not overpowering skis and the benefit of extra edge surface, but that doesn't seem to apply for a 4 year old. It seems to me hat keeping her comfortable and happy would outweigh considerations of teaching her how to control a bigger ski. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I think your instincts are good...hard to go to short at that age IMO- the 80s will be there when she is ready.

This is video of her on those 67cm skis on an upper beginner trail.

She is 4 and small and she is having great control. But, she is likely not going to change her skiing for at least another year. A long ski apparently makes it harder for her to hold the pizza so why mess it up for her.

She looks good- you can always try the longer ones later and see how she goes
