How to clean a GoPro lens?

Thread Starter

Hello,

Some water-soluble goo got on my GoPro lens... how do I clean it off without ruining the lens surface?

Any help would be much appreciated.

All I know now is that I shouldn't use paper towels because they have saw-dust in them, or something.

Go to a camera store. they sell little packs of soft lint free lens cleaning papers. Get a lens cleaning solution, Zeiss makes a good one. One drop of solution on the PAPER (not the lens) gently rub, repeat as necessary. I don't know if they make a neutral filter for the Go Pro but if they do, it would be a good idea. The cleaning fluid will last a long time.

Lick it. Then rub it on your pants. That's what I would do anyway.
